Grant for Good
To celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2021, we launched an annual $20,000 community grant to help projects, organisations, and initiatives that promote social inclusion activities, health and wellbeing, sports, and other fields that benefit our communities.
Thank you to all the inspiring organisations who applied to our 2026 Grant for Good. All applications were reviewed with great consideration in relation to our selection criteria:
- The purpose and objectives of the Applicant’s initiative/organisation.
- The plan for what the Applicant’s initiative/organisation will do with the Grant.
- The impact on local communities and the disadvantaged, including the number of individuals/groups who will benefit from it.
- Brand alignment with Bank of Sydney’s values and vision.
And the winner for 2026 is…
As the gap to accessible healthcare widens for vulnerable Australians, mobile healthcare provider Mobileyes and Dental Foundation has been awarded Bank of Sydney’s $20,000 Grant for Good, to expand its work delivering essential eye and dental care to Sydney residents that may otherwise be unable to afford or access treatment.
Financial hardship, accessibility, and lengthy waitlists can leave vulnerable Australians without access to essential healthcare. Around one in five people across NSW (20%) have skipped medical treatment in the past 12 months because of rising living costs[1]. Mobileyes and Dental Foundation delivers mobile eye and dental care to schools and vulnerable communities across NSW, removing barriers to entry and improving the health, wellbeing, and dignity of an estimated 50,000 individuals annually.

What's the Grant going to be used for?
The $20,000 grant will provide dental cleans, polishing, fluoride treatments and fissure seals for 85 people, and 25 pairs of single-vision or bifocal glasses for those who are otherwise ineligible for government assistance. It will also support the distribution of dental care kits and oral and visual health education for up to 150 people participating in education activities.
“When times are tough, preventative healthcare can be one of the first things struggling families sacrifice when trying to make ends meet,” said Mobileyes and Dental Foundation Co-founder Dr Nancy Ordakji.
“For many of the people we support, teeth cleaning or replacing a pair of glasses is simply out of reach. The challenge is that delaying this essential care can have a profound impact on a person's health, education, employment opportunities and overall quality of life,” said Ms Ordakji.
“We believe everyone deserves access to essential eye and dental care, regardless of their circumstances, and that's why we take our services directly into the communities that need them most. We are incredibly grateful to Bank of Sydney for recognising the importance of this work and supporting us to give more to those that need it most,” Mobileyes and Dental Foundation Co-founder Dr Andrea Eliastam.

Recognition for an Honorary Recipient
Bank of Sydney has also recognised FoodLab Sydney as an honorary Grant for Good recipient, awarding the not-for-profit kitchen incubator a $2,500 grant to support its work helping refugees, migrants, First Nations people and people on low incomes develop their own food businesses through training, commercial kitchen access and paid work.
The grant will contribute to FoodLab Sydney’s 12-week training program, which is designed to make business education and pathways into the hospitality sector more accessible and translating the program materials into 10 languages.
“We are grateful to be recognised by the Bank of Sydney Grant for Good, acknowledging the importance for backing the potential of our entrepreneurs and the diverse communities they represent,” ssaid FoodLab Sydney Chair person Nina Siljanovic.

We’re delighted to support pathways to entrepreneurship and economic participation that empower FoodLab’s entrepreneurs to enrich Sydney’s food scene and share their culture through food,” said Mr McKenna.

Our Previous Grant for Good Winners
Since its inception, the Grant for Good has supported incredible organisations making a difference in their communities.
- 2021: Variety: The Children’s Charity empowers disadvantaged kids to live, laugh, and learn. The grant enabled them to donate eight adaptive tricycles to two schools in regional Victoria, helping students cope with ongoing trauma and disengagement. Read more about our 2021 winner.
- 2022: Plate it Forward is a Sydney-based not-for-profit that empowers vulnerable and disadvantaged communities by breaking down barriers to social and economic participation. The grant funded 5,400 free meals and provided employment opportunities for those in need. Read more about our 2022 winner.
- 2023: Eat Up is Australia's only organisation providing free lunches to students on a national scale. With the support of the Bank of Sydney Grant for Good, they provided 20,160 lunches to feed 2,740 disadvantaged kids across 20 schools. Read more about our 2023 winner.
- 2024: Carevan Blacktown is a non-profit organisation that provides over 150 free meals weekly to those in need in the Western Sydney region. The Grant provided support to the organisation to rent a newly secured warehouse facility and expand its support to an additional 200 individuals, strengthening social cohesion within the community. - 2025: The Reconnect Project is a circular economy initiative that trains and employs neurodivergent young adults to refurbish donated digital devices in South West Sydney. The Grant provided 400 hours of paid work to young adults and helped refurbish and distribute 100 laptops to disadvantaged high school students. Read more about our 2025 winner.
