Bank of Sydney strengthens leadership team to drive growth and customer experience.
Bank of Sydney is strengthening its leadership team under CEO Kieran McKenna to drive strategic growth and enhance customer experiences. The appointments see Stella Grilis elevated to the Executive Team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), while Maria Karavias moves into the new role of Chief Customer Officer (CCO).
Caroline Ferris has also been appointed Head of Transformation and Strategy, reporting into Geoff Wenborn, who is the banks Chief Operating Officer.
The appointments are part of Mr McKenna’s focus strengthening the executive team as the bank moves beyond a period of significant transformation and executes its growth strategy. Together, the appointments bring extensive banking expertise, customer insight and leadership continuity to the executive team.
CEO Kieran McKenna said the appointments bring together deep institutional knowledge and customer-focused leadership at an important time for the bank.

CFO Stella Grilis has spent more than two decades with Bank of Sydney, most recently as Acting CFO, and brings deep expertise across Bank of Sydney's finance, treasury, credit and risk functions.
CCO Maria Karavias joined Bank of Sydney in 2023 as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), where she has strengthened the bank's brand, marketing, product and customer experiences, including improving the digital proposition. The creation of a CCO role reflects the increasing strategic importance of customer experience and engagement as key drivers of growth and differentiation for the bank.
Head of Transformation and Strategy Caroline Ferris joined Bank of Sydney in 2024 as Head of Core Banking Transformation, where she led the successful delivery of the largest transformation program in the bank's history.
