Bank of Sydney renews its partnership with the White Pearl Foundation in aid of brain cancer research

SYDNEY, June 05, 2019– Bank of Sydney has announced the renewal of the corporate partnership with the White Pearl Foundation for the third consecutive year, in aid of Brain Cancer Research, supporting The Brain Cancer Group, From Care2Cure. This partnership is part of the Bank’s ongoing commitment to support the community and charitable organisation in an effort to change the lives of others for the better.

“At Bank of Sydney we engage and collaborate across various sectors with community groups and charitable organisations to enhance community well-being and tackle health and social issues. We are proud to renew our partnership and support the White Pearl Ball for the third year, and be part of a much-anticipated event on the Sydney social calendar. Through this important event, we are honouring all who have lost their battle to brain cancer, those who are currently fighting and all their loved ones,” said Miltos Michaelas, CEO of Bank of Sydney.

Throughout the years, Bank of Sydney has actively supported non-for-profit organisations that aim to provide funding towards furthering curative research of diseases that can have long term effect on individuals and their families. In line with this corporate social responsibility commitment, Bank of Sydney has shown strong support for Brain Cancer Research and cure initiatives, hence joining forces once again with Suzane Peponis-Brisimis and the supportersof the White Pearl Foundation in 2019.

“I would like to thank all Bank of Sydney staff for their devotion and hard work at last year’s White Pearl Ball, as well as numerous other events. I am excited about our commitment to social responsibility, and by what we can achieve together for our Community as our company continues to expand. I encourage the community to get behind this initiative and join us for the White Pearl Ball 2019,” concluded Michaelas.

The Brain Cancer Group, From Care2Cure is a collaborative team of leading brain cancer specialists, applying insights from frontline patient care to inform activities across the 3 Pillars of Research, Patient and Carer Support and Education, to ensure they are making a difference in the lives of those affected by brain cancer.

The White Pearl Foundation has made a remarkable difference supporting the development of brain cancer research. The fantastic results of last year’s White Pearl Ball reflected how a collaborative effort from individuals is essential to drive the success of an initiative.
