Victor Andersson joins Bank of Sydney as Chief Financial Officer

 

Miltos Michaelas, CEO at Bank of Sydney, announced the appointment of Victor Andersson as Chief Financial Officer, effective 18 February 2019.

“Bank of Sydney is delighted to welcome Victor on board to lead our Finance and Treasury teams. He will play a key role in overseeing accountability of financial management, financial analysis and profitability to support our institution and its leaders as we grow,” said Mr Michaelas.

 

“Victor is a valuable addition to our team of executives, and he will play a critical role in the development, execution and ongoing performance assessment of our strategic plan. He will also work to strengthen our risk culture and governance processes. With an outstanding track record of delivery and hands-on experience across key financial and regulatory disciplines, Victor’s depth of knowledge will add great value to Bank of Sydney.”

Mr Andersson joins Bank of Sydney after a successful career with Deloitte, in the UK and Australia, as a Director in their Banking Assurance and Advisory, and Governance, Regulation and Conduct practices.


Following the announcement, Mr Andersson said: “I am proud and excited to join Bank of Sydney as Chief Financial Officer at such a pivotal time in the company’s growth. I’m looking forward to playing my role in driving change across the organisation with the rest of the team.”


Mr Andersson is a Chartered Accountant – Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland and holds an MA Hons International Business from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
