That’s why, with Allianz’s Landlord Insurance, you have the peace of mind knowing that you’re covered for malicious damage by your tenants. Having adequate Landlord Insurance can assist in protecting your building, your contents and the income your property generates.

  • Insurance protection for a range of defined events including: fire or smoke, tsunami, storm, rainwater or run-off.
  • Up to 52 weeks’ cover for loss of rent after an insured event.
  • Cover for malicious damage by your tenants.
  • Up to $10,000 worth of landlord contents cover automatically included when you take out landlord building cover only^.
  • Up to 30% No Claim Bonus 2.
  • Pay by the month at no additional policy fee 3.

Optional Additional Landlord Cover – ‘Rent default and theft by tenant’*:

1. Theft by a tenant.
2. Up to 15 weeks cover for default on rental payments by your tenants.
3. Up to 6 weeks cover for rent lost due to;

  • Departure of tenants from your rental property without notice;
  • Death of a sole tenant; or
  • Termination of your rental agreement due to tenant hardship.

4. Landlords legal expenses related to a rent default or theft by tenant claim to a maximum of $3,000

^ Maximum payment for contents will be the lesser of $10,000 or up to the remainder of the sum insured after payment of your buildings claim.
1Minimum premiums may apply. Any discounts/entitlements are subject to rounding and only apply to the extent any minimum premium is not reached. If you are eligible for more than one, we also apply each of them in a predetermined order to the premium (excluding taxes and government charges) as reduced by any prior applied discounts/entitlements. Discounts may not be applied to any flood component of the premium (if applicable).
2To qualify for the maximum No Claim Bonus of 30%, customers must have had no landlord insurance claims in the preceding three years. However customers who have had up to two claims may still qualify for reduced No Claim Bonus.
3Premiums payable by instalments may be subject to minor adjustments (upward or downwards) due to rounding and financial institution transaction fee may apply.
* Maximum amount payable for any one occurrence for rent default under all events is $10,000 in total.
