Firstly I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the last 6 months; you have welcomed me back with open arms and I am excited to be leading Bank of Sydney through its next stage of growth.
The following aims to update you on significant developments within the Bank over the last 6 months.
In January, our Board of Directors approved the new 3-year Strategic Plan. The focus of the plan is enhancing our core capability and reach in specific market segments, mainly in the retail area, whilst strengthening our position in other key markets. Key capability gaps and enablers have been identified as part of the plan, and I am happy to report that we are comfortably ahead of delivery timetables. At Bank of Sydney we place the customer firmly in the center of anything we do, and this will ensure the success of the new change process, which includes:
* Full Enhancement of Ebanking and Mobile Banking applications
* Online Identification, verification and Account Opening for select products
* Process automations to improve customer experience and enhance risk mitigation
* Keeping the customer informed through instant account information provision
* More community engagement and active participation in events
You will also be pleased to know that results for the year have all been above budget and we are now on the right track to beating expectations for the year.
In the next quarter our focus will be on continuing to deliver our business plan and enhance customer service, experience and overall satisfaction. I trust that you will all start noticing improvements throughout the year, and I look forward to hearing your feedback.
